Meet the teacher - Mrs Townsend
Holy Cross Catholic Primary School
Teaching has been my passion since an early age. I can vividly remember playing teachers with my toys as a little girl, lining them up and pretending to take the register. I could not wait to have a class of my very own to nurture and teach. As of this year, I am delighted to say that I have been working in my dream job for nearly 9 years!

During my time as a teacher, I have taught in the Early Years, Years 1, 3 and 4. I can honestly say that I have loved and treasured teaching each and every year group. It has been such an honour to meet so many lovely children and families. I often think about them all and wonder how they are doing.

I have been teaching at Holy Cross for nearly 4 years now and am the History lead. It is a subject that I really enjoyed learning at school and therefore is close to my heart! It is my hope that the children will discover the same love for History as they progress through our school.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading books, spending time with my family, going to the cinema and relaxing in the garden. I also enjoy going for walks in the sunshine and spending time looking after my two adorable but troublesome cats Bertie and Gus!
