I have been lucky to be teaching at Holy Cross for ten years now across many different year groups. It has been an honour teaching and meeting so many lovely children and their families. Holy Cross is a school I hold close to my heart as it is the school I went to as a child.
I am currently the RE leader at the school and I am amazed every day with the deep Religious knowledge and understanding our children have, it helps make the school that much more special! I am passionate about ensuring all children in our school experience great Catholic teaching.
Outside of school, I love going to the cinema (mainly to watch Marvel) or long walks with my wife and two children. I also enjoy playing football with other members of the Holy Cross staff.
Hello all, Term 3 in year 4 has been really exciting. We explored a range of facts about the rainforest and the students wrote a persuasive letter to the Prime minister to stop deforestation. We celebrated maths week where we explored the topic of perimeter and ended the week with a maths trail. There was also story telling week where our amazing LSPs shared stories from Italy and Poland. The children have also led in their Celebration of the Word and I have loved seeing their presentations! I have really enjoyed my time at Holy Cross.
Thank you all, especially Larch class.
Mr Barreto.
