This week, we became archaeologists and explored artefacts found in the grave at Sutton Hoo. We had to use our inference skills to work out what each clue was and what it told us about the person buried there. We decided that the grave must have belonged to a king or queen who had fought invading tribes, based on the grand bowls and cutlery, sword belts, shields, and helmet. We really enjoyed being archaeologists for the day!
