On Friday 9th May, Year 3 visited Avebury as part of our Stone Age topic. When we arrived, we saw the huge stone circle. The stones were enormous, and we learned that people put them there a long time ago. Some of them were very tall, and we tried to guess what they might have been used for. We thought about how different the land must have looked thousands of years ago. When we went to the museum, we saw ancient tools and bones. It was exciting to see things that Stone Age people actually used. We had a brilliant day, and it was fun to imagine what life was like in the Stone Age!
