Year 2 Beech:
Mrs Scott and Year 2 Cedar: Mrs Townsend
Quote from a volunteer:
"I enjoyed this morning's visit with Y2 to the Fire Station. The children were very excited, and I think had a wonderful time.
They were very good, enthusiastic and a credit to the school."

Meet the teacher - Mrs Scott

I have been working within Holy Cross for a wonderful few years. I have had over 10 years experience in Early Years Education and supporting families in the Swindon community. My passion is to remain a motivational and inspiring teacher which enables children to have a best possible start in their education, here at Holy Cross.
In my spare time I love to dance, I am part of an adult’s ballet and tap school and we look forward to performing on stage every two years. I have two beautiful daughters, and we love exploring new places, especially if there is a beach or castle involved!
Meet the teacher - Mrs Townsend

Teaching has been my passion since an early age. I can vividly remember playing teachers with my toys as a little girl, lining them up and pretending to take the register. I could not wait to have a class of my very own to nurture and teach. As of this year, I am delighted to say that I have been working in my dream job for 8 years!
During my time as a teacher, I have taught in the Early Years, Years 1, 2, 3 and 4. I can honestly say that I have loved and treasured teaching each and every year group. It has been such an honour to meet so many lovely children and families. I often think about them all and wonder how they are doing.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading books, spending time with my wonderful family making memories and going for walks in the sunshine. I also love spending time looking after my two adorable but troublesome cats Bertie and Gus!
